Welcome

              Illinois Child Care Bureau assists family child care providers in understanding the role
              of nutrition in children's physical, mental, and social health, as well as their ability to
              learn.   We are a sponsoring agency of the Child and Adult Care Food Program, a
              federally funded nutrition education program. In Illinois, this program is administered
             by the Illinois State Board of Education. All licensed day care home providers are
             eligible to participate in  the CACFP. There is no fee to participate.

    A Choice in Claiming Method
  • You may choose to keep your records on the internet using the WebKids program or select paper forms with self-addressed envelopes supplied to you for ease in mailing to our office.

 

    Calendar and Record Keeping Materials
  • Each year you will receive a calendar full of recipes, activities for your daycare, and record keeping tools to help with tax organization.

 

    A Friendly, Knowledgeable Staff
  • Your program advisor will conduct visits in your home to provide you with training and resource materials. Our office staff will gladly assist you during office hours: Monday - Friday; 8:30am - 3:00pm. Also our Registered Dietitian is available to respond to your nutrition concerns.

 

    Cash Reimbursement for Meals and Snacks Served to
    Daycare Children
  • Rates are set by the USDA and are updated each year. If income eligible and approved, providers may claim their own children.
     Direct Deposit
  • On request, your money will be deposited into your savings or checking account each month.

 

     Family Daycare News
  • Our monthly newsletter contains program updates, nutrition articles, recipes, current nutrition information and activities for the children.

 

     Provider Guidebook
  • The guidebook contains important policies and guidelines concerning your participation in the CACFP and a place for you to file necessary paperwork.

 

      DCFS Training Hours
  • ICCB provides a minimum of 6 hours/year of training to meet DCFS requirements may be earned by reading the newsletter and studying materials supplied at home visits. Receive additional hours by requesting one of our Training Packets, available on a variety of topics.
